Michigan Behavioral Consultants, P.C., was founded in 1997 by Eric Willmarth, Ph.D.  Dr. Willmarth had already been working for 10 years with the physicians of Michigan Pain Consultants and it was with their encouragement that he developed Michigan Behavioral Consultants to expand behavioral medicine  psychological services available to the chronic pain population.

Working closely with pain management physicians, physical therapists, and primary care physicians, the staff of behavioral medicine therapists at MBC provide psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of problems.

Currently seven psychologists and social workers provide behavioral medicine services in 10 locations throughout Michigan.  Michigan Behavioral Consultants now has offices in Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Bay City, Greenville, Holland, Portage, St. Joseph, and Muskegon providing a wide range of behavioral medicine services.
